I haven't seen the trailer, but I remember this film being talked about before and I realized I saw it up for pre-order, so I made this thread.

Watch it! It's easily one of the best trailers I've seen in a while.

I just hope the movie meets the hype.

This is a great flick and I think it will be in the running for best horror film of 2013 when the year is said and done. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who loves the original.

Just watched this and really enjoyed it.

It was a demented psychological thriller centered around a serial killer. There's some neat twists and other things thrown in, as well.

the fact that this went out to the theaters unrated is an indication that the filmmakers didn't restrict or tone down the blood & gore - like the original films intent.

I read about this movie in Horrorhound and how they filmed the whole movie in the POV of Frank. Very interested to see how that pans out.

Was excited to see this after the trailers I had seen, but never made its way to any theaters near me. Pretty low pre-order price, gonna put an order in.

Yeah, like I said, this is how remakes should be done.
It didn't copy the original or try to improve a perfectly good story.
It took the original's themes and plot as a structural tool and ended up making a genuinely entertaining and creepy film. It's not shot-for-shot, and it's not a whole new direction. It's settles perfectly in between.

It's also one of the most original horror films in recent memory, oddly enough, even though it's a remake. The entire movie, beginning to end, is seen from the perspective of Frank, and you feel like his actions are coming from you, which suggests the idea that this madness could overwhelm anyone, even the viewer.

I loved it. I didn't think Frodo would make for a scary killer, but really he does and doesn't at the same time, because YOU feel like the killer, as strange as it sounds, it actually works well for getting inside Frank's mind.
