Pre-Ordering a Game Help

I pre-ordered COD: Black Ops. It came with a code. First I had to type the code in and have to wait till nov. 9th to receive the actual code to use on the PS3.

My question is this. After giving it alot of thought. I dont think I want to get this game. How should I do this?

Go up to the guy at the store. Tell me I want to cancel the pre-order and I already used the code.

Do the samething. Dont tell him about the code. But when I get the code in a email delete it ASAP and never use the code.

What could they do? Can they actually tell me they wont give me my pre-order money back since I used the code?

EDIT: I just received an email. It said Pending verification of your order......
Then it wants me to hit the GO NOW button. I am not going to click it. Because i dont the this suit if I dont get the game. Again I rushed into everything. I should have thought about it before I put in the code.
