Just wondering. Was listening to Bill Simmon's podcast last night where he, Alan Sepinwall, Chuck Klosterman and Simmon's friend Gus talked about the Lost finale, and they were talking about other series finales and whether or not they lived up to their expectations or whatever.
And I was wondering what thoughts were on one of my favorite series finale's: Quantum Leap. Yeah it's been about 30 years or so it seems, and I know there are those who were highly disappointed in the finale, but I thought it was cool. ![]() *SPOILER WARNING IF ANYONE NEVER SAW IT* lol I thought it was a bit sad, but at the end of the day he just couldn't accept that he had been the one in control the whole time. That he had been leaping himself from life to life. The bartender told him that he could go home anytime he wanted, but he just couldn't accept it, and so he never went home. The bit at the end where he went back and saved Al's marriage by telling his wife not to remarry while he was a POW in the war, and that he was still alive and would be coming home, was touching and definitely a tearjerker type moment. I thought it was a perfect way to end the series. Thoughts? |
