i dont know about the technical details of the blu-ray as im waiting till i can get it cheaper on amazon.

the movie however is Great in my opinion. Its currently in my top 10 of the year so far. Got to see it in its small theatrical run.

Im not great with reviewing movies so ill just leave it with that. I think its a damn good little flick.

It's at 71% at Rotton Tomatoes if you put much stock in that.

Yeah, I rented the BD soon after it was released and was not impressed. Just be sure to rent this one before you run out and purchase it.

It's a fantastic film... but be sure you know what you're getting. It's not your typical film. It's a little sadistic... a little disturbing -- it has a bit of a sick sense of humor about it.

It's loosely based on a true story.

In 2001 a woman in Texas hit a homeless man with her car and he got stuck in her windshield. I believe she and her boyfriend then waited for him to die before dumping his body in a local park.

Later on she bragged about the event to the wrong person and was caught.

The movie is a fictional story using these events mostly as a set-up for a grizzly cat/mouse thriller.

It's really a film about our modern mentality of "If I ignore it -- it will go away," and it's particularly gruesome in some parts and at some points it gets pretty dark -- but it always maintains a bit of a tongue-in-cheek vibe.

As far as the BD goes... The A/V presentation is fantastic for a film of this low-budget. The features are pretty good too. Not a bad deal -- I think I paid like $7-10 for it. Great little cult gem -- it's a shame it didn't get a bigger audience but I'm not surprised given the subject matter.
