Godfather Part II is just an epic performance, he has to be convincing as the younger version of the character Brando established without becoming a caricature.
Won him his first Oscar, too!

Even Scorsese himself said that he consider Rupert Pupkin to be "DeNiro's greatest acting performance ever".

It's easily his greatest performance in these last 25 years!

MIDNIGHT RUN is a great Harrison Ford performance by De Niro, easily my fave of this bunch. But I guess it would be KING OF COMEDY in terms of talent and lack of ego demonstrated.

Goodfellas-- I thought about it for a minute and was gonna choose Cape Fear but the scene towards the end with Lorraine Bracco in the alley made the difference for me--- truly frightening.
