As a young lad many years ago in the 1960s, maybe 70s, I saw a time-travel movie that had a scene that is still vivid. I probably saw it on TV in B&W.
The scene I remember has a person, possibly sitting in a plane, waiting on an airstrip. They're waiting for the past version of themselves to catch up, and then they're going to join with it and continue their normal life. That's all I remember – and that memory may not be reliable. I'd like to find out the title, buy the movie, and watch it again. Anyone know what film that scene might have been in? |

It's an episode, not a movie, but reading your description made me think of the season 2 Outer Limits episode "The Premonition".

Thanks for the suggestions. I would never have tracked it down without your suggestions.
After a small amount of research, it turns out the movie and the episode were written by the same fellow a year apart. So either the movie or the TV series must be the one I'm after. Since I remember B&W, it was probably the TV series (was it B&W?). I also found out that Outer Limits will be released in Australia on Blu-ray on 20 June. I might be among the first purchasers. Thanks again. Last edited by guyburns; 06-03-2020 at 02:04 AM. |

It's amazing how a love of anthology films and tv series can contribute to your trivia knowledge :P
Yes, the original Outer Limits is in black and white. Funny thing is (in addition to finding out it was the same writer) when I went to see what The Time Travellers was about... read the plot, thought it was interesting... then I found out they had aired that movie during the 1st Netflix season of MST3K. I saw it and did not remember seeing that film AT ALL. I'll have to check that one out again when I eventually get the MST3K blu for season 11. If you like anthology shows like Twilight Zone, you should like Outer Limits. I tend to agree with a lot of fans... the 1st season is the strongest. 2nd season, not so much, but there are a handful of episodes in there that do make having that last season worth it. |
