Default Maybe Paramount and Universal have other plans

I was thinking and and maybe i'm way to optimistic but if you think about this 150 million pay off that Paramount just received, it really isn't much at all. 150 million is the budget it took to make the Transformers film and look how much money they are making off of it and are always going to make off of it as long as kids buy the toys(even though it's mostly hasbro) and are interested with this story. Paramount is going to make so much money off of this movie it's rediculous. The thing is is that maybe just MAYBE, Paramount actually just accepted to take this 150 million to just help Toshiba sell the rest of the old HDDVD players along with Universal and just get rid of some inventory. 150 million is probably what it costs to make the amount of discs to market the last bit of HDDVD players. And MAYBE Toshiba is secretly converting their HDDVD factories into Blu-Ray factories. (I know how far fetched this sounds. ) And it is widely beleived that Universal has a contract until October to sell exclusivly on HDDVD is that not correct? So maybe EVERYONE is planning to convert to Blu-Ray.

Warner Brothers not switching to HDDVD, with their royalties with DVD and HDDVD technologies, is a bit fishy. EVERYONE thought that Warner would switch to HDDVD, even though they have admitted they make WAY more money with Blu-Ray. Somebody even said in one of these forums that it would make sense to try and urge Warner to go HDDVD exclusive first instead of Paramount because they have more of a selectioin of titles to choose from right now. BUT if you look at the big picture, Warner has WAY more invested than Paramount into this HD disc format war. It's way easier for Paramount to make the move that they did even if it is temporary.

In light of this upcoming holiday season, these companies especially Warner are just trying to cash in with everyone else. Think about this too...Universal my go at least neutral and gain substantial percent increase of profits in the HD disc market after october. They would just sell the remaining HDDVDs they have and resell into Blu. I know many of us would buy MANY discs from Uni that we have waited so long without. This can be the final battle for this war that has waged far too long. Then after this holiday season HDDVD will be no more, Paramount will come back when everyone receives their gift cards and buy the blu-ray discs or re-buy the movie on blu-ray realizing that HDDVD has just died.

Again i know how far feched this all sounds but please tell me what you think and i just hope i gave some more insight that nobody else saw. I may just be too optimistic but think about it.
