I saw this not too long ago. I was reluctant to watch it but the film was actually pretty good. For a movie about a speech impediment this was one entertaining, inspirational story.

Just saw it earlier today. First off I was the black sheep in the audience. It was a majority of 50+ year olds and I was the youngest at 20. Definately felt a little awkward. Also listening to a couple talkers right behind me "I think this is Parliament." "He gets angry reall easily." I usually expect that from 8 year olds.

But overall it was a great film. My pick for Best Picture to this point.

Default Sorry for the rude Baby Boomers

Hello,

Sorry for the crass Baby Boomers. They're my generation and we have our flakes just as you do. If I had to sit near them, and I have had that experience with some of my age and also young folks who seem to think they are at a football game not a theater, I also get quite upset.

Fortunately, most of us, young and old go to theaters to see movies. For foreign language films, particularly those in English, (ha, ha) we most of need to concentrate so we can understand the dialogue. By the way, if you enjoyed The King's Speech, I would recommend the recent film, Made in Dagenham. It was just great. It also takes a bit of listening as the accents are quite pronounced.

Again, as a Baby Boomer, I apologize for the poor manners of the louts who ruined your afternoon or evening.

I thought this was Weinstein?? They're the ones who have been promoting it heavily in the awards contests.

I'll be waiting to see what retail stores will have it for - $27.99 seems a bit high (says the man who paid full price to see this movie twice in the theater already with his wife - four tickets... so far...)

Default The best pic oscar...

I think that the best picture award will go to either The King's Speech or Black Swan. TKS was a better all around film, but the last 20 min. of BS was some of the most moving cinema I have ever seen. (I get goose bumps just thinking about this) I see these two films splitting up several awards before all is said and done come Oscar night.

It is. This art was posted on thedigitalbits.com. I'm indifferent about it. It's not the worst I've seen (look to 'Never Let Me Go' for that), but it's definitely quite dull. I'll buy it regardless, as I loved the film.

Price has dropped to $19.99 at amazon.

Hopefully other nominees such as True Grit and Black Swan will follow!
