Default PS3 or Wii

I'm in no way trying to start a war but have been thinking about a new system I'm trying to decide between a wii or a PS3. Heres the thing I already have a 360 so I play all the third party games there so it comes to either a wii which I can play with the family and enjoy some of their great games or a PS3 and enjoy there 1st party exclusives any thoughts?

the thing that steared me away from the wii is the controller and lack of hd. i love me some newer mario (have n64 and cube).

imo, the ps3. there are great family games like little big planet. #2 is coming soon as well. actually i cant think of another family game but i would still pick ps3 over wii. oh, oh modnation racer though not my thing

edit: i also like the fact i can use it as a back up blu ray player. i can put it in the kids room so they can watch some blus we dont have dvds for.

i have the wii and a ps3 and deff go for the ps3. the ps3 is more future proof. you have incredible exclusives and its a blu ray player. plus later this year its getting the move, so theres your family games and motion control. laster this year the ps3 will be the wii but will offer a lot more.

So we just went to Bestbuy and were looking at everything was almost going to go with a PS3 till I saw my daughter playing baseball on the wii. So we went the wii route looks like Ps3 will wait till Christmas.

no the wii is not accurate. it gets the job done but its not 1 to 1. i hate the fact that i can sit on the couch and wave my arms about and still play the wii. thats where im hoping the move changings things.

Does it have the Wii Motion Plus bundle with it?

I hope she enjoys it, and it's an awesome system for kids, and there are a ton of games that adults can enjoy as well.

Dude!

Pictures! or youtube video!

Those types of situations are comedic gold *LOL*

Also the flying one is awesome, I love that game, and it's tough too, I've seen many a 'hardcore' gamer get into trouble with the simplest of Wii games.

The Wii has a few incredible games. Super Mario Galaxy is the best game I've played in years.

Problem is, after that half-dozen or so great games, it's got NOTHING.

Still, I'm tempted to get a Wii again to play SMG2. But I know I'd just end up getting rid of it again in a few months.

that was my problem. got it back when it first came out, nuttin that could keep my interest, sold it. then when dead space extraction came out, got another wii. couldnt get into it because it was the wii. now DP:E is coming from PS move, now the wii will just sit there like it has been for a couple months. the wii just doesnt have enough game to keep me interested to play it regularly.

I would go with a PS3; It has way more features for your money.

I think he's already gone with the Wii. It looks like the family is gaving a blast with it.

I would go with the PS3 wait for the XBOX Kinect, I've tried it and I like it more than Wii.
