Default Hi Def Paint!!!

So, yeah............http://www.lowes.com/pc_Paint_4294856872_4294937087_

The only difference i can see is that it has primer mixed in already and low odor and VOC levels. Will people fall for this?

funny! i was complaining about this exact same product just last night!

It makes me crazy that the Hi-Def moniker has been attached to almost every product known to man! Yes people will fall for it

Yes, I saw the commercial from Lowe's over the weekend. Pure marketing gimmick, and yes people will fall for it.

On that note, I'm very curious to see what paint has to do with High Definition? Does ordinary paint only have 480i lines of resolution? I would expect this new HD paint to have 1080p lines of resolution. Of course that expectation should only be attainable depending on your viewing distance and with calibration.

I'm sure people will buy it. I mean if you're wanting paint plus primer with low odor and you're walking through Lowe's, you'll probably bite. I just wonder if people will buy it solely for the Hi Def moniker and if those people will think it's better than any other paint + primer once it's applied to their walls?

Reminds me of those HD Blue-blocker sunglasses.

{pitchman voice} These quality glasses sell for $200 in stores, but we'll let them go for $20. And if you buy now we'll include an extra pair... just pay extra shipping.

My neighbor has two pair.

Good one man. I guess if you smoke some whacky you might get 1080 lines of resolution while starring at a painted wall for hours on end

Actually I used this. Well not this brand but Behr's brand. It was only 5 bucks more per gallon, and I only needed one coat. This is just a marketing hype of being HD, but it is defintly worth the money.

Lower VOC which means lower gas emissons (paint fumes). Great for newborn nursery (which is why I used it).

Sry didn't want to take the steam outta bashing this HD paint but hey its a great product.

I'm sure it's a good product, but I don't get the HD moniker. Does it bother me enough to not buy it if I need to paint over previously painted walls? Probably not.

These monikers can get whacky. I'm sure most people have seen the new 'Crest 3D' toothpaste... People will buy anything though.

Here's what it's all about. Valspar Signature Colors with Hi-Def Advanced Color System gives you richer, truer, more accurate color than ever before.

Anything they can call HD they will. It is the new catch words. Makes me laugh and sick at the same time.

Haha I just bought that actually a couple weeks ago. 3d as in your teeth get real white and 'jumps out at you' like 3d is what they mean. This hd paint is a whole different ballgame. I'm looking to paint my bedroom in the new place I move to in 2 weeks but I'll definitely be passing on this paint.
