High School Musical: Remix Blu-ray
High School Musical: Remix Blu-ray Review

Quote:
Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens star in this Disney Channel Original Movie as popular basketball team captain Troy and smart, stunning academic Gabriella. Both shock the members of the social cliques to which they belong when they each decide to audition for the high school's musical. By proving themselves to be brilliant performers, can these two teens lead their peers towards more open-minded thinking and acceptance of one another? 'High School Musical' is a family-appropriate feature filled with hip music, popular dance moves, and tons of school spirit.

They'll probably release a box set with all 3 when the 3rd film is released on Blu in a couple of months.

Catalog titles can easily change in release dates, I think they felt it would be better to market with the release of the 3rd film on DVD and Blu-ray rather than the opening of the film.

That's what I plan to do, get them all together, like I did when I bought the Pirates of the Caribbean 3-pack. I'm usually a sucker for things Disney, but I haven't had time to see number three yet. I may end up waiting until the BD release.

I just pray that HSM will never be released again, but guess I'm wrong.... Well let's pray that if it gets on Broadway, then we know it's the end of Mankind

Most October titles are released in Jan/Feb. So expect the first one to be released with #3 and #2(remix or whatever it is edition)

Hi,

My kids love it... I hate it (kind of feel bad for helping them watch it but at least they saw it first at someone else's house.)

Is it 4:3? ... The DVD we have is 4:3 I think.

Why do some people hate these movies so much? I don't get it.

I think it sends a great message to kids. High School Musical was about a jock that didn't want to sing in a musical only cause he was worried about what his friends might think. It shows you need to do what you love no matter what anyone thinks. Your true friends will support you.

^ Probably simply 'cuz it's by Disney. The fact that it's a musical too might be another reason, but I'm sure mainly that it's a Disney product.

Things like Hannah Montana and High School Musical are hated because

1. Disney
2. Disney milks the franchises to death meaning every possible paraphanilia (sp?) you can think of is constantly staring you in the face

It's actually February 24th I think. That's when the 3rd one comes to Blu-ray.

For those who own this Blu-ray.
Does the 1 disc edition of High School Musical contains inside artwork just like High School Musical 2 1 disc edition?

I know that the re-releases in Combo Pack has no inside artwork. Just a plain boring white color.

Too bad the Blu-ray is now OOP in the US and so is the 2-disc DVD version (which has the same bonuses as the Blu-ray).
Only the barebones 1-disc DVD is still on-print anywhere except for Japan.
Miraculously, Japan still has the Blu-ray version on-print, albeit exclusively as part of a budget Trilogy Collection which packages this movie and its sequels on a single black Blu-ray case.
