Default Is Blades of Glory getting advertised?

With the recent news of Paramount going HD-DVD exclusive, and the official pulling of all unreleased Blu-ray discs followed by the sudden stop in existing titles... I would expect more HD-DVD promotions.
And yet, despite all the publicity, I have heard nothing from Paramount in regards to ads for HD-DVDs.
In fact, the most recent one that was suppose to be dual released, Blades of Glory, is now HD-DVD exclusive and yet, every advertisement I have seen for it, whether it be in a magazine, online, or on TV, does NOT advertise it on HD-DVD.
Every 300 commercial I saw mentioned Blu-ray and HD-DVD as well as DVD, but so far, Blades of glory is only advertised as being on "DVD".
Is it just me or maybe Paramount is trying to play down the change?

Interesting, I just checked my blockbuster online rental queue, and BOG is still listed to release next week on blu-ray.

Edit: Just checked my queue (Sat 8/25), and looks like blockbuster finally yanked it.

It was funny. Nothing I would kill to own in HD, but at least worth a DVD rental.

I saw the old commercial on TV last night, but tehy lopped of the last few seconds where it said "Also available on BluRay and HD DVD". Instead it just ended abruptly after DVD.

Not as long as Paramount remains exclusive to HD-DVD.

I use to see the commercial that said it was coming to Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and now all I see is the one advertising it for DVD.

This gets me thinking has this deal been in the works for awhile with Paramount? Why would they cancel all the pre-orders for this movie like they did with mine. I know they had to have made this on Blu-Ray now are they just going to destroy all their Blu-Ray copies that the company made?

destroy them or keep them shelved somewhere so they can release it on blu when they've returned from their soul searching journey...they are the prodigal son.

If it had been coming for a while, the exec would have quietly requested the advertising be reworded "Coming on DVD and high definition".

As it stands, they perpetrated false advertising.

I preordered it through Columbia House and they have since cancelled the item # but my order is still active....I was thinking since I have had had my Columbia House account I have bought over 10,000.00 worth of DVDs from them in over the last 4 years, but as of the last year, I havent purchased as much because the retail stores have had the dvds at around the 13-14 mark and I dont have to wait for them, So i figured if they cancel my preorder, I am going to write a letter and cancel my membership and slate the decision based on them not having the movies I want anymore.
This may not do much, but at least a retailer will have my opinion and know they have lost a customer over this.

So far the DVD version of Blades of Glory isn't doing that well on Amazon. The Spider-Man Blu-ray Trillogy is way ahead of it! I don't think Blades is going to do ANYTHING for HD DVD!
