I just learned that Mother is having a limited theatrical release this Friday. I saw the trailer for this a few months ago and waited in anticipation since then. It looks intense. Thought I would share the trailer:

It's an excellent film. Definitely worth watching. If you haven't you should order the CJEnt release on blu. It's definitely worth it.

but I usually only import if I already love the movie to begin with. I hope it reaches a theater near me or at least gets a US blu-ray release.

To each his own.

The poster's a little wrong for categorizing the film as a "thriller" though. It's hardly a thriller...more of a drama and character study.

Good, that's my favorite type of film. Attention to character development and depth make movies the most worthwhile imo. The casting is impressive as well so I'm hoping for some strong performances.

You will definitely get it in this film. The "mother" in question is just undeniably amazing in her role.

Finally got a chance to see this. Amazing film. Heartbreaking too. A great thriller up there with Oldboy.

Mother has just been listed for pre-order on blu-ray with a 7/20/10 release date.

I finally saw it recently and this will be a must-buy for me. Incredible acting.

I've been dying to see this. I've been a huge fan of Bong Joon-ho ever since I watched Memories of Murder. Looks like I'll have to wait until July 20th before I get the chance to see this though.

I discovered this by accident, looking at the posters I was thinking it was just a random Korean movie - nothing to be excited about. Until today when I noticed it was from the director of 'The Host', one of my favourite movies

Whilst the genre is completely different I'm still hoping it'll have that same level of interest

This movie was actually released in Australia first way back in May but only on DVD

I'm finicky about covers too & much prefer the UK/AU cover which basically looks the same as the poster on top of this thread

But the UK release won't be until September! These release dates are screwed up

What's more is Amazon.com's measly $3 saving so I'm not really tempted to buy it for that price
