![]() ![]() Serpico by Studio-Canal Optional subtitles in French, German, Spanish. I suspect it's the same disc for those three countries, because in the first menu on the Blu-ray you can choose which country you're from. Picture Quality very good for movie of that time. The change in quality of the sharpness can be attributed to the original source. And it's region B locked. |

Any trouble with the audio (pal speed up) ?
(I'm fed up to seek for hours information about the movies released by Studio Canal to know if it's decent or not. ![]() |

you should not get any Pal sound Speed-up issue on a Blu-ray. (or it would be called sabotage !) |

not always true unfortunately zardoz, because you can still have 50hz encoded on bd.
![]() It can happen with bd if the sound is not encoded correctly, and although it is rare it can happen if the studio doesn't correct for it. the studio canal collection of "The Deer Hunter" 5.1 mix exhibits PAL speed-up as an example. Last edited by Arkadin; 07-26-2010 at 04:38 PM. |

well the people that have gotten it have not mentioned there being this issue, so I'm assuming it's not present.
I'm not as sensitive to this issue, however, as I have the French "Mulholland Dr." HD DVD which supposedly has the issue, and I don't really notice it. I'm still waiting for the German version of this to go down a bit, and then I'm going to order it. It's still a bit pricey for my tastes. |

Maybe i'm dumb. But if the Audio has Speeedup and the Image not then it would mean that after 2min it's totally out of sync and the 5.1 Audio for Deer Hunter would end after 174min und 43seconds and the last 7minutes of the Movie are without any Audio? ![]() |

Harry Caul => The audio doesnt go out of sync. Technically, I don't know how it went wrong but the sure thing is that the 5.1 is faulty. |
