Smile have the disney catalog classics adapted the CGI castle

I am wandering by this point, have all the cell animated disney classics adapted the 8th castle logo (by this point regardless of how they originally opened up). it was designed by Weta Digital, the same house that did the VFX for lord of the rings and others.

I know it was introduced with pirates of the carribean dead mans chest, did the traditionally animated titles convert to using the Weta Digital castle by this point in history since we started using it in 06, do certain blu's in catalog use by this studio use any of the other 7 logos the company has, or have they all switched to the current one?

i know the live and CG films disney have used the 8th castle, how long did it take for the traditionally animated ones to convert over to using it?

its a great question, what are your thoughts.

A vast majority have. However, some were designed to specifically use the logo as a gateway so it remained intact. Tarzan would be the most recent example, the logo becomes jungle like and fades into the background or something.

comicgeek, for tarzan is there a known variation of the 8th one in use with tarzan?

a vast majority of the traditionally animated ones have adapted the current castle from weta digital, interesting.

This is somewhat OT, but on British TV Toy Story used the CGI castle, Toy Story 2 used the original theatrical blue castle (although I think the UK version had some slightly different footage and a few different voice actors, so that might explain it), and Toy Story 3 used the CGI castle. Although about 8 different channels broadcast the Toy Story so it might vary depending on the channel.

for those with the CGI castle, does disney channel have the rights to broadcast those films?

like the toy stories (at least here in america), etc.

Tarzan has never been shown in any other form when it comes to openings then what I described to my knowledge.

DC airs Toy Story all the time. I have TS3 recorded on my DVR.

as we continue on with the topic, was snow white using the 8th castle or its original sequence on either the DVD or Blu-Ray?

I always liked that Pixar films had their own Pixar-created Disney logo. It set them apart. Now they're all stuck using the same Castle as the Disney Studios films.

so pixar is now using the weta digital castle by default, disney is using it on live projects by default, but are not required to slap it on there with marvel at the beginning and end of the film. for big hero 6 which appears to have no relation with marvel and is under their sole power, i figured on my own for that one CGI cinderella's castle appears on the beginning and end of the film.

i also learned its not allowed to be placed on tv series and cartoons, as their tv properties don't have the rights to have it placed on them at the beginning and the end.

in 3D i saw behind my glasses that it zooms in more and enhances the environment around the CG image, on 3D BD disc playback from them if hooked up to a 2D TV, does it animate as it would in 2D and than stop and greet me with a message saying i can't use the disc, or just go to standstill than stop?
