So, I received a SPAM message ON MY PS3 saying that if I entered a code on PSN I would get a $40 PSN credit as part of a Sony Holiday non-promoted promotion. I'm skeptical, so if I were to create a fake PSN account and entered the code and it turned out to be something bad, would I possibly still have my other account information hacked? I looked at my Players Met list, and the guy wasn't on it (and I didn't THINK I had recognized his name.) I'm looking and looking and looking and seeing NOTHING of ANYONE else getting such a message. I've really no clue how entering a code IN PSN would have a way of hurting your PS3. Unless, of course, hackers got into PSN, placed a program that this code will give you, and it could take over your PS3. |
