Default Formatting External HDD For PS3???

Hey guys!!
I had a quick question bout formatting the whole 320gb external HDD to FAT32. I just bought a 500gb HDD to upgrade one of my ps3's. I would like to do a back up store, but am having trouble trying to figure out how to format the entire HDD to fat32. Ive managed to format 32gb to fat32 using you tube, but thats it.
I would appreciate any help. THANKS!!

Windows limits FAT32 partitions to 32GB so you'll need to use a third-party tool, such as SwissKnife, to format the drive.

Do I have to buy a registered key code to use the program?
After I downloaded the program, it asked me to enter some kind of code.
THANKS AGAIN!!

Yes, SwissKnife costs $10, so that's probably why it's asking for a code. I'm not sure if you can still use it for free (and if the $10 just unlocks added features), but if you want an alternate way to do it, just use this free program:

http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ind...at32format.htm

Also, if you have a Mac, or a friend with one, that's always an option (since the disk utility built into OSX can format the drive just fine).

Oops ... the original link went to SwissKnife Premium which is $9.95, but SwissKnife v3.22 is free and supports drives up to 500GB.

seagate discwizard is free. Everybody misses the fact that an official program exists to do it.

Why MS won't include it is beyond me.
