Sapphire, the author who wrote Push, which was adapted into the Lee Daniels' Oscar-nominated film Precious, has sold a second book to Penguin Press to be published in Summer 2011. The second novel is reportedly titled The Kid and and will focus on "the son of the main character from Push as he approaches manhood — alone, brutalized and with the soul of an artist." http://perezhilton.com/2010-11-14-pr...-gets-a-sequel
