Default Best Blu-ray packaging?

I thought North By Northwest had the most beautiful packaging with its digibook but that steelcase Band of Brothers I just received

I have yet to see the series but opening the packaging itself was a treat.

Any titles that have a packaging that can beat that?

Sorry, nothing beats The Blade Runner briefcase, the Gone With the Wind set, or The Wizard of Oz set.

Wanted Limited Edition is very cool has a bullet smashed onto the case.
The Bourne Trilogy has a rather cool box.

Hehe, agreed!

Although the newer ones Disney is using are just fine - they have thinner plastic in some areas but they don't have big ridiculous holes in them.

To answer the OP, though - mostly I just prefer a plain old Blu-ray case. Let what's on the disc stun and amaze me, not the packaging it's in.

Admittedly, I don't own either of the two boxsets but price wise, I think Band of Brothers is the cheapest of the three collector's set. The Wizard of Oz costs $ 56 on Amazon ($ 42 was the lowest price). The Blade Runner cost over $ 80. In comparison Band of Brothers cost $ 60 but if you were to get the UK steelbox, it can be much lower than the equivalent US box.

Yeah, I saw the Wanted Limited Edition box and it definitely looks wicked. Forest Gump had a chocolate box which looked nice as well!

Fair enough but for people who want to start a collection, it wouldn't hurt to get a few nicely packaged BDs even just for decorative purposes.

If I'm not mistaken, that Harry Potter set was released only in France.

I shudder to think how much it'd cost.

Without going for any kind of ostentatious pacakging, the best Blu-ray pacakging I've come across for a single movie is the Alice in Wonderland triple-play digipack case, because I love how it folds out and how sleek it is. It's much better than the standard Blu-ray/DVD amaray case.

Should be region free as It's a Warner release, they are Digi books and are available on Amazon.de. Warner have packaged up 10 of there most popular BD's and released them in special Digi books. I must say all the art work on them look really cool. There is a Blade Runner as well.

However, I typed The Dark Knight and among the results that showed (my settings is meant to display all region free titles), I didn't manage to see that digibook that the above user showed.

Mind providing a link of the 10 digibook titles if it's not too much trouble. Will certainly need to hunt some of them down. D:
