Default Unimpressed by most Blu-ray MENUS. List some good ones?

I was an early adopter of both DVD (1998) and Blu-ray (2006). On of the things that impressed me early on with DVD were the menus. For example, The Prince of Egypt cost me over $40 on DVD at launch and the menus are still excellent today (the more modern versions have a selection first, modifying the menus). I've never even seen a BD movie with animated chapter thumbnails. What is it about BDs that makes it so hard to make an impressive menu?

I have a large collection but the only BD I can think of off the bat with an impressive full-motion video menu is Apocalypto and it has the same still thumbnail chapter previews as any other BD. Also, the menu is noticibly lower quality than the film itself, though that is somewhat expected. I get a vibe kinda like the first time I loaded up The Matrix on DVD.

I seem to remember being impressed by "The Abyss" on DVD, though it would confuse the heck out of my Sigma Designs RealMagic Hollywood+ DVD decoder card and player software. I bet it's really corny today though.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm not saying that they should be flashy and distracting. I guess what I really miss are animated chapter thumbnails. Are there any BDs with animated chapter thumbnails like so many DVDs? The ridiculously small and poorly representative thumbnails on most movies are aggrivatingly bad.
