Good job! How tall is that wall where you have the TV mounted? It looks friggin' huge!

I have same speakers for surrounds. What brackets did you use to mount them on the wall, and how did you attach them?

I used Omnimount brackets that I found at RadioShack. They were on clearance for 7 bucks a piece. Unfortunately I had to drill two holes in the back of each speaker to attach the bracket..I hated to do this but as long as you are careful and predrill the holes then you should be fine. They hold the speaker beautifully and they are longer so you can get the angle that you need without worrying about the wall getting in the way. My neighbor and I ran all my wires through the attic to make it nice and neat and I have to say with all of the new speakers this system sounds great to me!!! I am sure it is not up to par with alot of them on here but I only spent around 350 bucks altogether for everything right down to the mounts!!

I like the DIY nature of how you used those mounts. I have those speakers, and I knew you had to be creative to pull it off. I looked at those options last year, but my roof angles upward and would make it very difficult to use something like that effectively.

Good job though! Very clean setup.

The walls are 10 feet vaulted ceilings.

Thank you, but I can assure you the pictures were strategically placed! I dare say smoke and mirrors, but... lol I still have a lot of things I plan on doing this year, including adding a projector with a pull down screen into the mix. I have some ideas for wire runners to hide some of the visible wires, but I figured I would tackle that at the time when I paint the walls and install the projector (2 to 3 months).

I really like how you've maximized your space and ran the wiring to your surrounds through the attic. I was stuck in that area with my left side surround because that pillar doesn't connect to the ceiling (it's actually a pantry on the other side.

And I really like how you've been loyal to one brand in assembling your HT. Sony doesn't get the most love around here, but I can tell you that I've owned dozens of products from them over the years (TVs, receivers, CD players, DVD players, speakers, PS1/2/3, car audio, you name it). And I don't think I've ever seen them better utilized than what you've got. And I've always had great experience with their products.

Very good job. Very clean and organized. I like the feel of the room and the prints on the wall.

We all start somewhere. I had a samsung lcd, hk receiver, and onkyo htib this time last year. The upgraditus hit me bad. I suggest waiting out and proper planning and don't do things to the extreme I have. I'm constantly upgrading/changing things it seems.
