This will be my 3rd year running an online league. I have 3 rules, play your games, no restarts against CPU games and no cheese. Of course, I will put people on Away when they can't play. I will get the game midnight July 12 and will set up a temp league that will advance daily until a good set of rosters is available, usually takes 2-3 weeks. You won't have to play every game in the temp league. I have a core of regulars that have played the past 2 years with us and are looking for more. We advance 3 times a week.

Online Dynasties are going to be able to be accessed from the web and web enabled phones. This should be a really fun year.

Online story image page. You will be able to look back at all the big games of all the seasons in the dynasty and see what happened. Looks like uploaded highlights will be parts of the story.

Story Interface. Again, the game will generate a story every now and then, or you can add your thoughts to the game. Stories can be sent to your Twitter and Facebook pages.

Recruiting screenshots. They are now adding bonus points for schools in recruits home states, different schools get a different amount of bonus pts. Also it will be harder to sign 5 star recruits vs 1 star. Low ranked recruits will want to go to lower ranked schools. Recruits will want to go to schools more that have a need for their position and are higher caliber. In other words, they changed the logic to be more realistic.

Cool I will add you guys and talk to my regulars. I am thinking that Miami and VT will be taken so you guys look good with your choices. I like the new web interface, the ability go back and look at different years and different games with highlights. I think they are pouring more into it so the people that switch over to Madden a month later won't. Here is a thread at Operation Sports, they usually are the ones whose board members are out first with a good roster. Last year about a week or so after release, there were tons of bad rosters. They had some names on some teams right but everyone else was generated.

Video shows changes to the game and at 2:25 talks about the new Dynasty Wire. It will be email enabled so when all games are played I can get an email to advance. Or, can send an email to those holding us up.

looks like there are quite a few acc teams, so if that is the case i'll take north carolina instead of iowa, if they are available. Dynasty is more fun when you actually get to play other users. If not, no worries, i'll stick with iowa

NC is fine. Starting with the second season I can change non conference games. I can also move teams in and out of conferences too, although then every one is competing for 1 BCS game. I usually just change the schedule and depending on the conference everyone has 3-5 user games at least.

I usually advance 3x a week, MWF. Some people get Madden so it gets hard to play all those games, although Madden games with Game Flow will take half the time. If there is an issue with people not getting games played and its widespread I will go to 2x a week. I have used the custom sliders with success to make the CPU games a challenge. I don't want them, especially the "big" games to be gimmes.

Making CPU games harder is always good with me. Find me a shorthorn or someone else to beat up on in the Big 12. Should be especially cool for year two with all the real life conference changes. I vote the only customizing you do, is, in year two switch teams to their real life new conferences. Maybe more changes will come down the pike before we start year two. With Utah going to the Pac 10, thus BYU losing them as an in conference rival, I would love to see BYU in the B12 North. I think BYU can easily replicate the long term level of success Colorado had and quite possibly exceed it. I say BYU to the North and then pick up TCU and Houston for the South. Move OU and OkSt to the North.

EDIT- I just got a Nebraska guy signed up. Hopefully one of the last 2 will be a Texas. And FYI, this league is different from the league in the NCAA Demo thread.


You can't move teams after starting the dynasty in NCAA 10 (or move them at all in 09), I don't know if you can in 11. I don't see where you can do that yet, maybe in a future version. I wish I could move teams in a later season, without restarting the dynasty. You would think with all this realignment talk they might make that an option in future. As for now, you can't even move a team, you can only swap a team, so someone has to be moved out.

Starting in year 2 I set the schedules and get as many player non-conference games as possible. I try and get games between players who to play each other or otherwise I try and rotate it around so over a couple years everyone has played each other. Madden franchise leagues, to me, are easier to run then NCAA leagues with the offseason schedule making, putting people on vacation when needed and throwing out game results when warranted.

Its unfortunate that only 12 people can be in a dynasty with well over 100 teams. About the only thing I see new besides Dynasty Wire is they put all the bowls in 1 week instead of 3 or 4 like before.

What I want to do is play and advance it daily until a solid named roster is out. They have made significant changes to blocking and locomotion. I will decide if I will go Heisman or All American and any slider adjustment. I have gone both routes and tweaked them before but it seems we are starting from scratch compared to the way the game played last year. Those short games in the demo make it seem that the game is probably almost right on All American. I would say passing might need to be adjusted a little but we'll see. It seems like these college QBs have bigger arms then the Pros do in Madden. I usually look at NCAA Strategies for slider adjustments.
