Default Guerrilla Games confirms work on new IP with new studio

Guerrilla Games talks rocky starts, confirms work on new IP

GDC Europe 2010: Hermen Hulst describes 10-year history of Killzone, that E3 2005 trailer, and where the studio is headed.
Quote:
Interestingly, Hulst didn't stop at Killzone 3 when talking about the studio's upcoming work. He confirmed that the studio is indeed beginning to work on a new intellectual property. No details were provided, but he did make sure to point out that this next project is not a Killzone title.

Probably more 12 don't you think since they are just finishing KZ3... with a new IP I can't imagine having much more than a small teaser at E3 11?

I don't know. KZ3 looks to be refined (I think it was confirmed as well) on the KZ2 engine so it probably didn't take nearly as long to create as KZ2.

Curious to see what they come up with..

Finally, Hulst announced that Guerilla is starting up a new studio (in Amsterdam's downtown area) which will develop an as-of-yet-unannounced new IP. They are hiring, so get on it.

SCEE's corporate structure is such that it allows a massive amount of autonomy for their first party studios. I think this should be classed as GG expanding into primary and secondary teams.

As seems to have happened with Zipper with MAG and SOCOM4 and maybe with London studio spreading themselves to thin leading to very lengthy dev cycles.
