What did you do with your old dvds once you crossed over to Blue-ray?

i wouldnt say i gave up cause dvd's were good. but yeah i wont buy anything unless it's blu. i traded in ALL my dvd's (including ones not on blu) and switched them over to blu. the only dvd's i have is from some underground music things that i know will never be in better format.

I've been buying my new releases on Blu and generally sell the dvd copies of movies that I upgrade. I will continue buying tv series and anime on dvd until a better alternative is available.

Yes I guess I 'gave up' on DVDs. I don't watch them anymore because they don't compare to my BDs.

I've sold lots. Others are still sitting in my cabinet.

No, I haven't. I will once I've upgraded all my DVDs to Blus which will be awhile since many of the DVDs I own aren't on Blus yet especially TV shows.

I will not buy anything on DVD. I have not sold my DVD's yet, but I think about it all the time to fund my Blu habit. I won't get rid of any of my TV Shows (Seinfeld, Friends, and Newsradio) unless they release on Blu. My daughter is the only one who watches DVD's and I am slowly converting all of her stuff to Blu-ray. All I really need on Blu for her is Sleeping Beauty, The Princess Diaries and all the Shrek movies. Lucky for me she watches Blu more than not.

Not really. I haven't bought movies on DVD for quite some time now (ever since I decided I would eventually get a PS3), but I only bought a few movies on DVD anyway, as the rest were TV show and cartoon box sets which won't be on BD for a while, if ever. The last DVD I bought was a volume of Animaniacs, and I plan to soon get Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog Vol. 3, because it truly is a miracle it has even made it to DVD. Movie-wise however I am BD only, and will have to eventually replace a few movies of which 8 are available so far.

I only now buy dvds that will take like forever for a Blu-ray release. I have been cutting back of buying dvds but some just will probably take some years before it hits Blu-ray and don't want to wait that long. I would love to give up on dvd completely but Blu-ray just hasn't got to the point where making dvd/Blu-ray simultaneous releases becoming the norm for all dvds yet including ones I want. It's like I have no choice in the matter on newer releases on something I want to see.

I have been getting rid of a lot of my dvds and selling them for like $5 each but ugh I wish I could get rid of more of them but just can't yet.

I am replacing my DVD's as they become available (provided the Blu-ray is good quality). I will either sell the DVD's or give them away.

i did for about 2 years but there are too many movies on DVD that i can get for a fraction of the price of the Blu-ray. I will always get action, sci-fi, and fantasy on Blu-ray but dramas and comedies i will get on either format depending on price.

I always buy the blu-ray over the DVD. Of course I read the reviews here first and sometimes, especially with TV shows there is no blu-ray available. Even that seems to be slowly changing though. For example season 3 of Big Bang Theory and season 6 of Entourage are coming out in blu-ray.

I find nothing wrong with DVD They still look good--some great--and there are still many movies I own that haven't had a bluray release yet. I've definitely sold quite a few since picking up a blu-ray player, but there will be a good many I'll hold on for a while.
