Silly salespeople @ Bestbuy - Blu-ray Forum

I was in BestBuy just looking around and SMH at the prices of the HDMI cable, when this really cute sales girl comes up and ask me “What’s wrong and if I needed any help”

I just said it’s a shame what I can buy these HDMI cable for less then $8 online and you guys are charging $59.99

She told me I need to be careful because the cheap HDMI cable cannot carry the signal to pay the HD Lossless sound, I won’t be able to get 7.1 surround.

My eyes popped and I said, “Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, I have never heard of that one before”….. “Show me what the heck you are talking about”

I grabbed the package and it said on the back, 7.1 surround sound.

I showed her and she was shocked that it could do it and then went to say, they must have told us the wrong information.

+1 I don't know how they get hired when they don't know jack. I know enough to understand electronics but still couldn't get hired by Best Buy.

...the a/v capabilities are determined by the HDMI transmitter/receiver chip being used.

7.1 audio has been around since HDMI v1.1

Cables simply transfer electrons and have very little to do with anything.

...then you should of asked her out on a date.

Without a doubt, she was pretty amazing, except for her mis-information, but willing to correct herself added more points to her beauty.
