That would be cool as hell. I didn't see them mention a price. How much is something like that going to cost?

Thanks for the link. The way they describe it, it sounds like it will be very expensive.

Awesome! I'm gonna run out and pick one of those up so I can watch the 3 movies that will be in 3D by the end of the year!

I'm going to have nine, maybe ten titles by the end of November.
Granted, two of them won't be available for general sale.

Monsters vs Aliens
Cloudy with A Chance Of Meatballs
Monster House
Grand Canyon Adventure
How To Train Your Dragon
A Christmas Carol
Dinosaurs Alive
Wild Oceans
Possibly Open Season
And the acoustica blu-ray 3D concert.

Even though I won't rush out to buy this, I think it's great news!! This means the technology is getting closer to having "theater-quality" 3D at home.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for 3D and I absolutely WANT IT TO SUCCEED. I absolutely WANT 3D in my home. But I ain't gonna go buy a $4,000+ TV to POTENTIALLY watch 8 movies in 3D.

And if you really look at the list, there are only 3 (maybe 4) that are Hollywood releases. Cloudy with A Chance Of Meatballs (which I already own the 3D version), Monster House, A Christmas Carol and possibly Open Season.

Monsters vs Aliens & How To Train Your Dragon are exclusives. They don't count.

Grand Canyon Adventure, Dinosaurs Alive, Wild Oceans & the acoustica blu-ray 3D concert are only going to be purchased because there isn't anything else to choose from. These titles would barely sell if there were 100 other Hollywood 3D BDs available. Of course, that's just my opinion. And I am actually interested in the Grand Canyon Adventure.

Monsters vs Aliens and How To Train Your Dragon count for me because I will have them. But I understand your point on that.

As for the others that are not Hollywood movies I would get them anyway. Not just because I'm 3D starved. I'm sure they will be fun to watch, and I want every 3D title. I think the 3D concert will be good. It sounds like there is some beautiful music on it, and I like that kind of thing. I look forward to seeing it. The current list for the upcoming months is enough to keep me occupied for a while at least.

I can understand not wanting to rush out and get a new TV just for that though. Especially if your not into the other documentaries.
