United Kingdom Triangle of Sadness (2022) - Harris Dickinson

Lionsgate will release Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness on Blu-ray, date TBA. The film features an international cast including the late Charlbi Dean, Harris Dickinson and Woody Harrelson.

Note that Curzon was originally the film’s UK distributor, before Lionsgate took over the theatrical side (a wide windowed release across chains, rather than day and date in indies) and later took on all rights to the film, though Curzon still posts marketing for it on social media. The film opens with both Lionsgate and Curzon logos.

It could contain The Square, Force Majeure, and Play and come out around the same time.

On the fence about importing this or just picking it up on iTunes. If "The Square" didn't get a US Blu release, I'm not sure this will...

NEON are the US distributor, so they might license to Criterion. A UHD will come out in Germany, but I’m not sure there will be English subtitles.

I’ve not seen it yet, but is it not completely in English?

There are a few people on the ship who don't speak English, but most of the dialogue is in English.

I would say you need the subs as the subtitles bits are important.

Interesting, with the scanavo, placement of the Curzon logo and the upside down (French style) spine text, it seems they’re going for a Curzon packaging style, albeit being distributed by Lionsgate.

they’ve not announced any yet, hope there’s some interviews or featurettes, but many Lionsgate releases have been barebones, and Criterion produced extras tend to stay exclusive to them rather than being licensed out.

My guess is they needed five to balance the artwork but only four had it in their contracts to be billed on the posters.

The faces do correspond to their characters’ arcs within the film, if they only put Harrelson on there alongside the triangle of other characters, it wouldn’t make as much sense. The Russian oligarch helps balance it out with an opposing force.
