warners blurays of late , that combo thing at the top coupled with the rating blotch.. ugly.
ugly artwork covers or lack of art when its taken over by intrusive banners and other things Last edited by blu-bren; 10-13-2010 at 04:26 AM. |

I kinda like rating logos, I reckon they give vibrant detail to a cover, but yes I do agree with you on the combo packs. Incredibly frustrating, especially when a sticker merely informing us of the DVD and digital copy inside would suffice. I think Inception is also being released in one. I'm actually holding off from Losers to see if they will re-release it as they are Clash of the Titans. Universal on the other hand are fantastic when it comes to box art and slipcovers.

Unfortunately this kind of packaging for Warner is going to become the norm:

Shame. Warner have a great slate of movies coming up as well (The Town, HP7, Due Date, etc). Hopefully they revise their packaging.

the first 2 were The Fifth Element and The ghost and the Darkness. Both covers leave all my BD's covers for dead Maybe they could package blu rays in a cover the size and style of LD's ![]() ![]() |

Saw Nightmare on Elm Street today, It's comes in a slipcover/box thingy and it's the same size as a DVD!
Although, You could feel at the top of the box that it is hollow inside so when you open it, there will be a blu-ray case. I think? Last edited by joseph_m; 10-13-2010 at 06:33 AM. |

Here's a photo that Black13een posted in another thread of the CotT case that was inside the combo pack. Doesn't look like it has a title on the spine, but I can't see clearly enough so I could be wrong.

Thanks! Well now that It's only a small square I don't mind as I'd just get rid of that huge DVD box. Although the US Lenticular cover with the cuts looks awesome.. Hmm It's a tough decision :P If It doesn't have anything on the spine I'll go for the US one.

Fox also seem to be releasing DVD-sized packs with DVD and Blu-ray, although they look like they could be actualy cases rather than cardboard box. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/815414

No idea about the price. Didn't bother to look because It was ugly Haha
Found this on Ebay, shows what Nightmare on Elm Street is like without the DVD slipcover: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nightmare-elm...tem19c0202656] Still don't like it and still has that huge double play thing at the top. Hmm, As much as I want this I'm gonna get it when I go to America.. unless I see it on Saturday and give in. Last edited by joseph_m; 10-14-2010 at 09:03 AM. |
