with 3d being the next big thing now, and with tvs becoming more and more like computers and that, what do you guys see tvs becoming in the next 10 years.
I for one, see them being completly interactive units. Meaning, it wont be long before the 3d sets wont require glasses, use ipad like technology, and have built in hd webcams and the like. Imagin, ten years (maby 5 or less even) sitting down infront of a new tv set. Its fully connected to your home network, online, streaming media from ur server (like it can now) and displaying anything u put on it in full 3d (native or converted). More so, via the camera built into it (using simular tech to microsofts Kinect) you can fully interact with the set. Say, you want to watch an educational program about the universe. U stream it or pop in a disc, and blam, you got a fully interactive 3d display. You can use your hands to move around 3d models, watch documentaries in 4k resolution, full surround sound, etc... |
