Default SG1 Complete Boxset?

I've had a search of the forum, but couldn't find anything about this. Fox have quietly announced the availability of the complete SG1 boxset on DVD. I was wondering if there had been any indication of it heading to BD? I know a Stargate tv series had been previously announced as coming to BD ( Atlantis? ), but that was a while back, and I haven't seen anything since.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, it is typical practice by distributors to release seasons seperately and then a complete box set afterwards, obviously to get the most out of double dips etc.

It's highly unlikely they'l release a complete SG-1 box before they release them individually unfortunately. I don't think there's any chance of the single seasons starting to be released yet even.

Thanks for the info. That's a shame, really. I've been holding off taking the plunge with BD, until more of the TV series that I watch have been released. The complete SG-1 would have been a nice start.

Thanks again.

Seasons 1-3- Shot 16mm, minimal gains no matter what.
Seasons 1-5- Mastered and SFX in SD only
Seasons 6-10- HD post and FX

That combined with the bulk of the material makes any HD issue of SG-1 highly unlikely

The Direct to video movies very likely to get HD treatment.

I hope that the movies will go to Blu-Ray as well.

Oh, well. Looks like I'll have to settle for the DVD. Thanks again!

ya figured you can tell the way the first few seasons where shot they were very gritty...anyway i'm just hoping they offer me a way to buy the box itself when it comes out, i have all ten seasons on dvd and man do the first 7 take up shelf space. and the boxart i've seen is pretty sweet
