Default Talk me out of this......

I know there are 20 threads about similar tv's but,

Best Buy has the
Samsung 58" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV
Model: PN58C550G1F
SKU: 9790779

for $1399.......
and after several days of going through thread after thread I'm really starting to lean towards this tv.

Originally I was set on a Panasonic G series due to it supposedly having superior color, but am worried about all the issues. So I'm wanting any and all opinions of this tv and any other suggestions.

By the way, I currently have a Sony 37'' rear projection (720P ) and sit around 9 feet away from it.

So will a 58" be too big?

Also, this will be in the basement with no windows.

Like I said before, any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated.
