United Kingdom Spider-Man (2002)

Single film pre-order now up at Play.com for £12.99, released 04th October.

I wonder if this is a re-release of the film packed with some bonus features. The lack of extras for the first two films is what put me off buying the trilogy box set.

That looks promising. I've held off buying the trilogy as I really disliked the 3rd one, but the lack of extras didn't help either.

This is official for the US now, with a bunch of features. Amazon UK list the US versions with some terrible cover art, but no word of UK versions yet.

Quote:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 for Blu-ray release on November 16. Until now, the first two Spidey movies were only available as part of the box set Spider-Man: The High Definition Trilogy, released in October 2007. Contrary to previous information, no additional special features will be included.

Going from the back cover information, Spider-Man will be totally devoid of extras, and Spider-Man will include Spider-Man 2.1, with additional footage and extended fight sequences not seen in the theater.

I got the Trilogy boxset in HMV cheap enough a while ago.

Really all that mattered to me as a Spiderfan was top PQ and AQ which
all the movies have, I kept all my dvds for the special features, even the R1
superbit that has the Tobey Maguire/JK Simmons commentary. Yeah I heard that geek alarm ringing too.

I've never had them on DVD, so it really bugs me there's no extras. I think I might pick up the box set and just suck it up and re-buy 1 and 2 when they finally get decent releases in a few years time.
