Talking 2010: Moby Dick (2010)

Hahaha. Poor Barry Bostwick. He was so great on Spin City.

A modern adaptation of the classic novel of the captain of a high tech submarine and his obsessive quest to destroy the enormous prehistoric whale that maimed him.

I'm surprised they've moved on from ripping off Hollywood films to this crazy s**t like 2010: Moby Dick.

They've suspiciously been doing a lot of "turning to great (public domain) literature" as source for their trolling for video-attention in the past few releases.
(Although we can pass off "Sherlock Holmes vs. the Dinosaurs" as a deliberate pilfering of Robert Downey Jr., but their new directive seems to have started with using "Princess of Mars" as an excuse to leech off of Avatar...)

Which raises the question: Are trying to grab attention and get our goats by publicly defacing "Titanic 2"'s, or did they make one deliberate Transmorphers too many and get legally bit back by one of the studios, and now they're trying to nyah-nyah back with legally "safe" sources for their current projects?

(And related to the recent Uwe Boll thread, it must be asked:
Are we REQUIRED to make a separate thread every single time Asylum plays the clown and wants attention? )

Perhaps someone can convine Asylum to gently rip off the now-public-domain Conan stories by Robert E Howard and churn out a band-wagon movie before the crap real deal from Lionsgate hits next year.

Use the short stories and novel and avoid using the actual name Conan and the halfwits at CPI should stay clear of lawsuit. Basically you can't use the Conan name (it's trademarked) in title or material. Go Asylum!

Orlando you need to land a job with Asylum. Maybe you can direct the sequel: Moby Dick Vs. Sharktopus

LOL, I would do:

Mega Shark and Giant Octopus and Crocosaurus VS the Terminators and Universal Soldiers and John Wayne Gacy's Ghost with the Paranormal Entity on the Titanic 2.
