The US version is also region free. They all have the same audio codec also I believe. The Japanese release apparently isn't the correct aspect ratio (but contains supplementals) I would avoid the Japanese release, the others should be good though.

There is no US Release. There is a Canada Release by Alliance but that is the closest thing to a US Release so far.
DON'T avoid the Japanese Release, it is the best Blu-ray Release of Equilibrium so far. It is the ONLY Blu-ray Release of the film to be in the Correct Aspect Ratio with Lossless Audio Options but remember being a Japanese BD Release, the price is sky high!

yeah that's the only reason i haven't ordered it. i wanted equilibrium and blindness but $100+ for two bd's is hard to justify.

I just got the Dutch blu-ray and it's overall excellent! I don't see the point in spending a fortune on the Japanese version when the Dutch version is a perfectly solid upgrade in the video and audio dept!

Is there any word of a US release for this yet? This is one of my all time favorite movies and would love a remastered version in OAR.
