I first noticed this on my Star Trek Original Motion Picture Collection on 'The Motion Picture' disc. One of the features (I believe it was the tv spots) would not play. I saw a blue screen and it said "no signal" Also my Blu-ray locked up and I could not skip or stop or get to the menu ect. > The only thing that I could do was turn off the power and turn it back on again. At first I thought it might be the disc. But on 'The Wrath of Khan' disc from my Star Trek Original Motion Picture Collection it did the same thing on one or more of the features. This was a couple months ago.
Then yesterday (since I am typing this email after midnight it happend yesterday) the same thing happend on 2 features on the Blu-ray disc from my Cars Blu-ray/Dvd combo pack. I could not get Boundin' Cars to play. Also on the Cine-Explore I had it on Auto and when it came to the first featurette clip or deleted scene it would not come up and the same thing that happend before happend again (it would not play it and my Blu-ray player locked up again). Another thing is everytime I put any Blu-ray disc in before it gets to the main menu and before it plays any feature I always see the blue screen and see it say "no signal". It still goes to the main menu and it still plays most of the features (but not all). I don't think this happend when I first purchased this player. Also the features that don't play are always the same ones. When they don't play I notice on my Blu-ray that it goes to 1 second and then locks up. I cleared the stuff that I downloaded from BD Live (I can always download it later) to see if that would work and it did not. I also tried using composite cables that came with my Blu-ray player and that did not work. So I can't get them to play on either the HDMI cables or the composite cables. I did not think it was the cable that was the problem anyway but I still wanted to test it. I also checked to see if I had the lastest firmware update and I did. My Blu-ray player is the Samsung BD-P3600. I might call Samsung later today. I also might call Disney. I am not sure what is going on. Last edited by little flower; 09-08-2010 at 07:00 AM. |
