Where are the system software updates? - Blu-ray Forum

i know some ppl dont like the updates or updating there ps3 but i do its makes it better so were did they goo when is a full one coming out not like 1.92/1.93 somethin we can thank sony for????????????

patience if i recall 1.9 dident come too long ago im betting november 5th or 6th is when we will see 2.0

Do you mean "WHERE"? I don't know anyone that doesn't like the firmware upgrades... Unless they break something... But wasn't there just a firmware upgrade a couple weeks ago that added 2 channel output for CD's? That was a nice addition in my opinion. And be patient for the 2.0 update. It's not the end of the world when they wait a few weeks for a firmware upgrade.

well ps3 is going down right now no good games for about a month an half and home delayed??????that really pissed me off but idk i just want something extra

have patience young grasshopper. PS3 not even out for a full year yet. Give it time to grow.

I think the most game systems have a slow start. A few hits at the very beginning; then before you know it, the devs will have the engine good and sorted out and you'll be seeing some amazing stuff. Have faith in the system...you're in good hands.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is also coming out this Fall/Winter I believe. At least that's what Konami's press release says for PS3.

According to spec, CDs ARE a two-channel media.

Maybe you mean the sampling rate, of up to 176.4 kHz.

As others have said - patience. 2.0 won't be accompanied by Home but that's okay. Maybe it'll be 3.0.

I agree and with MGS4 coming out next year with FFXIII (and maybe FFVII...). I seem to recall Gears of War taking almost 1.5 years to come out, and nearly 2 years for Halo 3. There is not a system that I can think of that had a great line-up with in the first year.

Exactly! It will not be long before we see developers begin to take full advantage of the Cell processor. The PS3 is going to suffer slightly at first because it is as advanced as it is, but soon we will see some really amazing things!

i bought my PS3 for UT3 in High Definition. so to me, that game is a system seller. and it will have been 12 months give or take a few days. when that game is released, within a couple weeks people will be making a mass exodus to the stores to buy their PS3.

The 2.0 firmware update has no release date as of yet. It's rumored to be coming out in October. However Home was also rumored to come out then and it's been pushed back to Spring 2008.

Nobody knows when the next MAJOR update is. Hopefully soon though.
