I bought it on BD on day one, watched the same day and though I was happy with the picture quality I didn't think it was reference material for a movie of its age.
I'm thinking about watching it again tonight and I read the review from HiDef Digest some minutes ago. I disagree with it, I don't see anywhere all those fine details and skin pores the review says and I don't think digital processing was kept to a minimum. Actually I think picture was DNRed, not to death but three dimensionality is nonexistent, faces look waxy at times (like when Newman and Dunnaway first meet in the office) and though a fine layer of grain is visible at times I think picture lacks fine detail. Your opinions? |
