Default Strategy Part Dos

okay, so forget about taking DVDs off the market. keep producing them but with new releases, at least put out Blu-rays a week or two prior to the DVD release and you'll generate interest.

furthermore, why don't manufacturers (most of which are BDA) put a stop to SD DVD Player manufacturing? or at least slow it down to a crawl. After all, there are plenty out there. No need to proliferate the market with any more. Everyone owns one by now anyway. Just sell Blu-Ray players and if someone wants one to play regular dvds (upconverted), by all means....why not make the Blu-Ray player the NEW DVD player?

NO DVD players + only Blu-Ray players + Manufacturer competition = more demand

more demand = affordable players

i'm no economics major....but this makes sense to me. but i do admit that i haven't thought it through all the way...just came to mind and wanted to throw it out there. what do you think?
