What happened to the character that Michael Medeiros (Catzo) is playing.

He magically disappears during the shootout between the police and Cain's crew.
Can anyone tell me if his death scene is cut from the movie or if it is somewhere visible where he goes to? Same goes for his team friend George Cheung (Gilette)

It's been bothering me for a while now

I always just assumed they were killed in the shootout, especially when

comes along.
