Default Ice Age 3 on DVD in 3D

Recently, I got a DVD of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was the 3D version consumers have been waiting for for, like, 11 months. Two things bug me, though: why did it take nearly a year from the original home video release for the 3D version to be available to the public, and why isn't the 3D version available to the public on Blu-ray yet?

Because most Blu-ray owners don't want to get anywhere near Anaglyph 3D. Those that are interested in 3D are waiting for the 3D Blu-ray. Then there are the many people who don't care about having 3D at home with the currently available technology, like me.
