It won't.

Because the distributor owns the distribution rights to the film only for France/Monaco - a French speaking territory.

this looks really amazing, and apparently has never been on dvd before now.
If you look at amazon.uk this title just came out on a 2 disc dvd set based on the same restored elements so I was thinking about ordering that dvd to get the English subs needed for the bd piece.
at least the dvd with subs is available for anyone that wants to do this.
someone that can play region 2 dvds and region B bd titles.
would be a lot of effort, but might actually be worth it for such a special work.

Also, the subtitles would be set for PAL speed (25.000) whereas the BD is 23.976, so you would have to figure a way to slow the subtitles by 4% (assuming you have a BD burner and software to rip the film files from the French BD and burn them to recordable BD discs) unless you wanted to memorize them using the UK DVD and then watch the BD and translate from memory.

oh I have no ability to do any burning, etc. etc.
my comments were just for people interested in being able to watch the work with subs so that at least could gain a full understanding of all the dialogue before watching the blu.
for someone really interested in this work, it would at least be better than just watching the blu without anything.
(but yeah maybe they could be used to create a blu with subs also)
