I watched the DVD the other day, too. I was amazed at the PQ. BD titles are still generally sharper, but the dvd is more than good enough that I wouldn't go out of my way to find a BD version.

Not for me. I will never buy a DVD again. Maybe I might have too for PC games. But that is as far as I will go.

To me i dont care so much about the DVD being good quality. But I would like to get a copy of something that is never suppose to released. The movie is so-so but still worth the buy.

Hey,

The only complaining about it I'll do is because I wasted time watching part of it.

Simply the worst movie EVAR.

I want it on Blu Ray though becuase then when I spot things like UltraViolet on my Blu Ray shelf I can say well at least it's better then watching that copy of Blades of Glory.

Oh my. THAT bad?

I wonder if they'll ever let the director release his cut of Ultraviolet? There's something there.

Not that I am condoning the pirating of movies, but if it were to happen, that would be the only way I will see any more Paramount or Universal pictures until they go BLU.

i dunno, i just figure that if your gonna shell out over a tenner for a movie then you may as well add the extra couple of quid and go for the best quality

I hate DVD too, but if you can't stand to watch DVD quality flicks.. how do you stand to watch anything on television/cable? There's only one channel on Comcast that outputs at 1080i. The rest aren't even up to speed.

I got Shooter yesterday. Blades isn't even worth a rental. I found a cheap place to buy movies 20 minutes from my house. They were just renting them up until last week. Now they are selling all of them for $16.99 up to $19.99. Thats the Fox titles too. Windtalkers is $19.99 and just up the street you go to Futureshop and its $45.00. You wonder why nobody buys to many. I had the guy there put aside 5 more movies for next week. Only have so much to spend.

Default Screw Paramount

I'll wait till it comes on HDTV. If Paramount wanted my money they would sell it in BLU RAY.
So now...screw 'em !

If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times....
Movies like this one do not need to be in HD.

Up-sampled DVDs look amazing on HDTVs, and every BD player I know of can up-sample your DVDs. Unless it has amazing visuals or sounds or graphics, it probably does not have to be a Blu-ray.
Yes it is a funny movie, no I don't want to own it, no I'm not upset I can't see it in Hi Def, yes I might rent the DVD...

Come on people, it wasn't even such a great movie anyways, not worth crying over just cause it's not on Blu-ray. Neither is Star Wars (yet) but I still watch that on DVD.
