FYI:

High-Def 2.0 Conference
THURS DEC 13, 2007

Home Media Magazine presents High-Def 2.0, the one-day event that will serve as a preview of what’s in store for the high-definition disc market in 2008, the year the studios have targeted as breakout time for Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD.

Coming just weeks before the Consumer Electronics Show, the event will provide a sneak peek of studio announcements expected to be made during CES, along with an overview of plans for the coming years, from marquee titles headed to HD disc to advances in interactivity, technology and packaging.

High-Def 2.0 will include panel discussions, demonstrations, updates on hardware and software sales, exclusive market research, and presentations from the studios about what they have coming up in the fourth quarter.

Also on tap for High-Def 2.0 is the first-ever High-Def Disc Awards. A panel of critics will determine the best entries from each format, from the time the formats were launched, Blu-ray Disc in June 2006 and HD DVD in April 2006.

The summit is produced by Home Media Magazine in cooperation with DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group, the Entertainment Merchants Association and The Hollywood Reporter.

Advance registrations fees are $245 for DEG and EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers, and $295 for all others. The registration fee includes admission to all seminars and sessions, the product presentation luncheon and the evening cocktail party and awards celebration. Attendees will also receive a gift bag of high-definition discs. Advance registration ends November 27, 2007. After this date, registration fees are $295 for DEG/EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers, and $345 for nonmembers and non-subscribers.

Special press registration is available to credentialed media as well as qualified consumersby contacting Kristina Kronenberg at kkronenberg@questex.com.
