They are released by Umbrella Entertainment, I think they do lock their titles.

I did have a press release somewhere, but I can't find it now. It was my understanding that these would basically just be ports of the UK release.

I have the Arrow films UK releases of both Dawn and Day, both of which are STUNNING, and unless there are more than the plethora of special features already available on the UK versions, i see no need to double dip.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

I own the US Dawn (I found a copy at a Dixons Recycled Music :P), but that's it. I've actually never seen Day, should I pick that up if I enjoyed Dawn?

I'm biased as i'm a sucker for anything with Zombies, but Day is a great Zombie picture. Plenty of claret spilled and some truly inspired SFX makeup from the great Tom Savini. Buy it! You'll love it.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

^More people seem to prefer "Dawn" but again some think "Day" is the best. I myself prefer "Dawn" all the way.

Btw, a bit weird cover art for "Day".

I think it's weird that a COVER FOR A FILM can be that violent and grotesque, but if a game had violence anywhere near that level, it'd be refused classification, and nobody could see it. But even a minor can see the front cover of this film if they saw it on a shelf.

Classification retardation.

Hopefully thats the case, as the UK versions are supposedly the best versions of these films. If they are the same as the Uk versions then its a pity we dont get the fancy covers though.

Its also crazy that these movies are still going for $40, espicially that they are over 20 years old....

Which version is Dawn of the Dead? It is 127 minute, so does that mean it is the theatrical version only?

Damn, the extended version is the better version IMO

Can somebody please clarify if it has the directors cut or not?

I have the UK version from Arrow films for both Dawn and Day. Dawn has 3 discs with 3 different cuts of the film. The theatrical, directors cut (dvd) and the Dario Argento cut (also dvd). Worth the bother to import and the packaging is great too.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

It would be safe to assume its the Theatrical cut, as this is the version on both US and UK BDs. Its Romeros preferred version too

Oh ok.

Well I already have the 4 disc Anchor Bay DVD set, so I guess adding the Blu of the theatrical version = the same as the UK Blu then.

Cheers

I'm suprised Day of the Dead was allowed to have that on its cover. Preety graphic.
