As you know, Toy story 1 & 2 FS ironpacks suck! What lame cover art design! Simply print toy story title there? What a gimmick! I don't understand how disney comes out these. They are probably worse than none.
I'm not really a steel/ironpack collector, but I collect those disney/pixar steel/ironpack because they are beautiful, but not including TS 1&2. So I'm not gonna buy them. I ended up using the TS3 ironpack to hold 3-disc TS 1, 2, 3 BD. In this way I have the toy story BD trilogy ironpack! I also use the 4-disc TS3 BD case to hold toy story 1,2,3 DVD + TS3 bonus. Thus, we have the toy story DVD trilogy! So how many of you don't like the design of TS1/2? |

I think they wanted some special design for it and I understand their intentions. |

I've always liked the TS1 and TS2 design. It's TS3 that is messed up.
I do wish that they did not duplicate the art on the front and back of the IP, but TS3, and all of the new "in-your-face" Disney SB art is not appealing to me at all. I would much prefer the logo. The picture of Buzz staring off into space does not seem to match with anything. |

Plus, the same artwork on back is more kind of a unique touch on this artworks, which I like. |

I order my Pixar releases separately in release order, and though I have the TS3 case I think I will probably end up selling it because I also don't like the fact that the separate ironpacks for 1&2 do not match up (as well as the fact that it's expensive and annoying to import it in the first place... I'm going to get TPATF but TS 1&2 are not worth the effort). I think I'll be fine keeping my Toy Storys in their standard packaging with slipcovers. If you want to put them all in TS3 then that's cool, but I personally would find it annoying to have the 3 films in a case which said it was just for TS3
As many have said, they either should have had 3 match up with 1&2 and have the 'wallpaper' logo, or should have had 1&2 match up with 3 and have a separate character on each cover (with the spine artwork laid out identically on both). There was obviously some carelessness down the line when it came to designing these. |

There is art that has been posted that matches the Buzz Lightyear TS3 cover for most/all of the Disney Pixar movies. They probably are adopting the Buzz cover as part of the new wave of releases. |

If so, Where are you getting this information from? It would make absolutely no sense for them to release DVD SteelBooks™ in G2 cases. @Kaliraver: Sorry, I realise I reposted what you said, but we have two different people here possibly referring to the same thing so I figured it was worth addressing the both of them. I saw a picture of TS1-3 as well as others like FINDING NEMO as part of the whole set. It looks like someone in North America marketing found the images used by the German marketing team. I think this is a pretty significant step in terms of SteelBook/IronPack collecting. Studios are now re-releasing catalog titles en masse in collectible packaging to drive sales. They acknowledge that an SB/IP version will sell otherwise stock titles that would sit on the shelves. No need for a 'special edition' or 'director's cut'. The studios can just re-release it in a fancy box to drive sales. Warner, Disney, and Universal/Alliance have already done so with three 'waves' of SteelBooks. Paramount, Fox, and Sony can't be far behind. |

I for one don't miind that the covers don't match since I don't have any intention of opening them. I got them to remain sealed and be put away. The ironpacks for TS1 + 2 were double dips for me.
Each person has their own preference. |

Even if I don't open mine, it would be nice if the covers matched, although looking at all BD releases, it is rare that they do (e.g. POTC) |
