I would like to see this, although to be truthful, most of them sucked badly! The first three was really good, then it just got stupid, but I would love to see a box set or even individual releases. The new Elm Street film is OK too, I'm looking forward to the Blu-ray release for that! Also, what about the Halloween films?

Halloween films would be good. I thought the majority (1,2,4,5 and H20) were great whereas the others were simply so-so.

As for the RZ remake/reboot/reimagining whatever of the original, that was terrible.

I didn't like H20 and the third much, but the rest were really good, pure horror classics!

The Rob Zombie remakes, well, I don't think anyone really liked those, most likely because they were so different, the second sucked, but the first was OK for a remake, but as I said, it was too different.

Yeah, 3rd was a bit lame.

I think I enjoyed H20 so much is because a) I tended to ignore that pt 6 existed so there was a huge gap between 5 (1989) and H20 (1998), and b) it was the first (and only) Halloween that I saw (and saw twice) at the cinema. Loved it both times

I still think you can't beat the original, I mean the music, the atmosphere, everything was perfect, the same with number two. Halloween is one of my favourite horror franchises, along with Saw of course.

I imported the DVD boxset from the States that included, (which is quite funny considering where we are with regards to 3D at the moment) 2 pairs of 3d glasses for Freddy's Dead. Awful film to start with and the 3D made it no better

They would have to seriously remaster them all from scratch and include New Nightmare, but exclude the remake, for me to consider upgrading.

Yes, Halloween 1 is a great film, watched countless times, and Halloween 2 scared the shit out of me.

With regards to Saw, I loved the first one. Again, watched it twice in the cinema which is quite rare for me so I must have enjoyed it (saying that I did watch Anaconda twice at cinema as well...). Saw 2 and 3 were passable, but haven't watched any more yet.

I would say saw five and six are poor compared to the previous entry's, I'm excited to see Saw 3D at the cinema (in 2D of course, 3D sucks!) to see how the series will end. Saw V sucks though, really poor.

Well, I've got 4,5, and 6 on my Lovefilm list so at some point I'll give them a watch. Similar to yourself I wouldn't mind watching Saw 3D in 2D. Recently watched Piranha 3D, not a bad film, but would have preferred to see it in 2D.

I heard that the 3D for that is really bad, the film looks average to me, I'll wait for a Blu-ray release and blind buy it. I'm hoping got a Jaws release sometime soon, but the rest sucked, the first Jaws was OK, although I'm not a massive fan of Jaws films.

Jaws 1 and 2 would be the only ones I'd get on Blu. I only watch Part 4 just for the comedy value

There may be a rights issue in the UK with the Nightmare sequels as the first box set didn't include Wes Craven's New Nightmare (which is my personal favourite!)... it has been rereleased since, though notably Freddy vs Jason still isn't in there

Bit like the Friday the 13th pictures in the US with them changing from Paramount to New Line for the last two... doubt we'll ever see a complete Hellraiser collection either!

they do. no problems for releasing a complete set now, should they be inclined.

Elm St 3 & 5 are currently available in HD on the PS3 video store. 4 is there as well, but in SD only.
Interestingly, the dreadful remake is there, but has the art from the 1984 film's BD box instead. A little bit of poetic justice perhaps, as New Line used a picture of Jackie Earle Haley on the recent r1 DVD original series box set.
