Default A Little Behind The Times.

I was talking to a guy at work today about what else? HDTV's and he told me he has a new one with 240hz, its LED and its 3D ready. I told him what I had and he says your behind the times my freind. You need to upgrade. Well I told him this and thats no my tv dont have 240hz, its not LED and its not 3D ready and I am prefectly happy with it. First I dont need 240hz because honestly it dont see a difference between 240hz and 120hz. Second my tv isnt LED and again LED my be great and make better blacks, save tons of energy and all that jazz but if my tv looks good to my eye as far as color and blacks go I am happy. And last but not least no my tv aint 3D ready and really I could give a darn less because I have no love for 3D. Never have and never will. Thats the thing with me. I dont have to upgrade just because something new has come along. If that were the case I would be upgrading every year! Its hard to keep up with the tv manufacturers because every year the HDTV's change and something new is added and you spend more money. My tv may be going on a year and 1 month (it was manufactured Nov 2009 and I bought it in Dec of the same year) but it does its job and it does it wonderfully and so far I havent suffered a glitch with it. Blu's look awsome on it and material (movies and tv shows) from Direct Tv HD are execellent so why in the world should I upgrade? I would rather spend my money on upgrading my surround sound system or getting a new Blu ray player such as the Sony BDP S570, which I plan on getting this Friday or Saturday. Once I get the Blu ray player then thats it for a long while as well. Stock up on Blu's and a new surround sound system are my goals for 2011. Heck with the super slim HDTV, LED and the dreaded 3D. I am happy with what I have. Anyone here agree with me on this?
