United Kingdom GIVEAWAY! Riddick HMV Blu-ray Steelbook

I think it's time for another awesome Steelbook Giveaway don't you think. Up for grabs is Riddick HMV exclusive steelbook. Steelbook is sealed and in mint condition (that I can see, but I cannot see underneath the j-card). Steelbook will be shipped in traditional cudzndrips packaging so you know it'll arrive in top condition.

Giveaway is open to ALL members and you can enter as many times as you like. The winner must pay the shipping charge though which will be either £7.20 USA / £4.95 EUR or £4.10 UK).

To be in with a chance of grabbing this gem just tell me your favourite movie of all time and why it's your number 1 film. Winner will be selected at random using random.org so your suggestions are just for a little fun.

Good Luck everyone,

Update: Giveaway closes Wednesday.

First 2 pics are of actual giveaway steelbook. Last 2 pics from my own collection.

Wow that's super nice of you, people are still asking for help to buy it but you give one away. I like the two other Riddick movies so I'll enter. Seeing as I'm the first, I'll probably never win though, maybe I'll enter a few more times later.

My favourite movie is Blade Runner. That's the movie I've watched the most. I think atleast 20 times. Love the story, sci-fi aspects, style, mood, everything.

What an awesome giveaway for a great SB that not many people have access to.

My favorite movie would have to be Top Gun. It was such a great movie for its time and it brings back many fond memories of my brother and I watching it as little kids and seeing who could recite the movie the best. It is also IMHO on of the best looking SB's in the Paramount centenary lineup...glad I was able to get my hands on it.

Awesome giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity.

My all time favorite is Pulp Fiction. Besides direction and acting which are outstanding, I love the way the story starts off at different places with different characters at different times and how everything comes together perfectly at the end.

Really nice of you to host such a great giveaway!!

Not much variety in favourite movies here in the beginning, since my favourite is also Blade Runner!

The reason for this being my favourite (apart from being an incredible beautiful and extraordinary movie) is actually one of the things that people (including Ridley Scott himself) is not too fond about with the original Theatrical release: The Voiceover.

Before I got into movies the way I am now I didn't know much background info on any movies, I just enjoyed them for what they are; Entertainment.
The first time I watched BR I found it so special that a Science Fiction would have a "Mike Hammer style" VO.
I have of course found out later that the reason for adding this was to help people understand the movie better. I have come to appreciate the Final Cut more now but I still have a soft spot for "VO-version"...

Thanks for the giveaway and the opportunity.

My favorite movie is Top Gun. I was just a kid when it came out in theaters, and couldn't wait to see it with my friends. What kid wouldn't want to be one of those guys, flying fighter jets at mach plus speeds? The action and soundtrack were above and beyond for it's day. The movie holds up well, and was even redone in 3D. That has to say something for a 25 plus year old movie.

My favourite movie of all time is a very tricky question to answer, however I think I'm going to have to go with Peter Jackson's King Kong.

Wow! Thank you for the opportunity! Hmmmmm... favorite movie of ALLLLLLLL time, right now is probably Casablanca. Been a Bogey fan for awhile now, but this film is just masterpiece from beginning to end. Not to mention the numerous quotable lines throughout the film. I can't pinpoint the exact reason its my favorite, except that the entire film focuses completely on story line, dialogue, and the actors ability. Not today's romcom/dramady films that focus more on the actors being pretty than anything else. Love it!

BTW

This story is badass! Probably b/c I love this film too, congrats Singulus!

Great boardie as always...

everytime someone asks me this question I have trouble answering because I have a #1 and #1a which depending on my mood changes ever so slightly...those two films are Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan...normally Gladiator is #1 about 1/2 the year (typically winter and spring) and then Saving Private Ryan is the other 1/2 of the year (summer and fall)

Thanks for doing these giveaways, cudz! Not only do you offer great stuff, but your generosity is admirable!

My number 1 film of all-time is Kick-Ass. I saw it in cinemas when I was 11 and absolutely loved it from the first time I saw it. I don't know, maybe it's the unique blend of superhero action and R-Rated crudeness, or maybe it's just the fact that it includes a 11-year old girl running around killing people like she's Rambo (whose beautiful actress has become one of my favorites), or maybe even the fact that Nicolas Cage actually does a good job in the movie. I cannot put into words how I love this film.

My favorite film of all time is John Milius' "Conan The Barbarian" (1981), In my opinion is a perfect film, as it delivers the science fiction tale in a very raw and unapologetic way. It does not make any excuses for itself, and its what it is. Point blank & brutal.

Great giveaway

I have many movies I cobsider great for their genre, but one that always and instantly seems to pop into my mind is The Godfather. It might be dated by todays standards where how to stage a fight scene and domestic abuse in a realistic manner is concerned, and maybe some of the modern polish on executions with a gun, BUT its overall a masterpiece!! Superbly acted and directed. Shame we haven't got individual releases yet but I feel they're coming.
