Germany Where To Buy For Cheap To US?

I want to get the SAW II and SAW III imports from Germany. However, I can't find them anywhere for less than $44 each, and it's the shipping that kills me on Amazon.de. Anyone know anywhere else that I can get for a decent price to ship to the US? Please let me know.

Not to hijack your thread but why would you want to purchase the German copies of Saw II and Saw III?

They're supposed to be much, much better transfers than the US transfers.

The SAW II transfer is crappy and the audio is soft.

The SAW III transfer is a bit better, but could be better.

I have the SAW 1 German import from the same company as the sequels and the differences are night and day of differences between the German and US versions.

The US version has MPEG-2 transfers for SAW II and SAW III. The German version has VC-1.

I like to ebay stalk on movies till I find copies that are cheap from sellers that take paypal and will ship to the US. As you can imagine its kind of a crap-shoot, especially for more obscure titles.

I love the insane humour of people in the USA!

There's no such thing as 'cheap' Blu-rays in Germany, France or anywhere on mainland Europe. We have cheap Blu-rays here in the UK but that's because they're manufactured here and mostly shipped from tax havens just outside the UK.

The last 3 DVDs (not even Blu-ray!) I've bought from the Netherlands, Germany and France all tipped over the £15 mark. It's painful but you gotta do what you gotta do. Even the shipping costs an arm and a leg.

Everyone I know in Germany and France shop online from UK stores for most titles.

Germany, try actially going to http://www.ebay.de or http://www.ebay.at (Austria, a small village in Germany apparently) and logging in with your .com details because you get a wider selection of Sellers and of course try http://www.amazon.de http://www.jpc.de and http://www.cinebutler.com/search.html

German/Austrian Sellers are always great IME (very very helpful and patient in fact) and their English is usually great too. Just mind a lot of them refuse to use PayPal (they hate it for some strange reason) but that doesn't mean they won't take it if you politely ask them. Offer to pay their costs too.

And be nice

It's funny, I've ended up ordering used copies of UK releases from Germany for this very reason.
