I'd gladly take just a remaster! Could Universal be presenting us with an embarrassment of riches this year? Or will they just be embarrassments?

I'm hoping recycled £5 disc, no new extras and with same artwork but an anniversary banner for £16.

to protecting myself from disappointment!

Can you imagine if they actually went back and cleaned up the deleted material for an extended cut? That would be so great for fans.

Does it even needs that since the extended cut is on dvd? Just need a new scan or a hd transfer I guess?

Waterworld doesn't really need a remaster since it's only 20 years old, it just needs to be the full extended cut. I'm not expecting extras since everyone involved with the film probably disowns it, but at the very least this HAS to be the 3 hr version for it to be worth buying.

My personal wish is for the extended cut but with the censored bits restored. Not that that will happen of course.

Well it needs a better transfer, the blu ray is very average.

Restoration? No. Remaster? Yes. The current one is a typical edge-enhanced effort from Universal.

Not Zavvi steelbook, sorry I think just the same disc retitled 20th anniversary to go with the Zavvi steelbooks coming. It's a bigger con than Steelbooks and that's saving something, I wish people would stopped ****ing over them, they are shit and overpriced.

I've never understood the extreme dislike, criticism and poor box-office performance of this film. I thought it was great from the first time I saw it.
